We're looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join our growing team.

This is a great opportunity for an accountant who has built a solid foundation in business services and taxation and is ready to take the next step — working more independently, developing stronger client relationships and continuing to grow their technical skills.

About the Role
n
As an Intermediate Accountant, you'll work across a diverse portfolio of clients and be responsible for preparing high-quality accounting and taxation work, while working closely with our senior managers.
n

Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships
n
Preparation of BAS, IAS and other compliance obligations
n
Tax planning and general taxation advice
n
Preparation and review of management reports and supporting schedules
n
Assisting with new client onboarding and implementation
n
Implementing Xero and Payroll set up for current clients
n
Liaising directly with clients, the ATO and other external parties
n
Assisting with client queries and identifying issues that require further advice
n
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records
n
Working with senior team members on more complex client matters
n
Managing your own workflow and meeting lodgement and client deadlines
n
Contributing to the ongoing improvement of our systems and processes
n

About You
n
We're looking for someone who is technically capable, organised and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
n
n




Approximately 2–4 years' experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm
n
A degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
n
Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for a range of entities
n
A good understanding of Australian taxation and compliance requirements
n
Experience with accounting and tax software such as Xero
n
Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
n
Confidence communicating with clients and colleagues
n
The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
n
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
n
CA or CPA studies underway, or an intention to commence
n
