With more than half a decade of experience, Ibex Care provides personalised, professional and reliable support that helps aged and disabled clients maintain independence, dignity and community connection while receiving dependable care and practical assistance within the comfort of their own homes.
The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: • Provide respectful personal care and practical support according to individual client needs and care plans.
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, dressing, grooming and other daily living activities.
• Support clients with safe mobility, transfers and movement within their homes and community.
• Prepare nutritious meals and provide appropriate assistance with routine food preparation activities.
• Perform household duties including cleaning, vacuuming, laundry and maintaining safe living environments.
• Provide companionship, friendship and emotional support while respecting each client's dignity and independence.
• Accompany clients to appointments, community activities, shopping and other daily commitments when required.
• Arrange and support suitable social activities that encourage participation, wellbeing and community connection.
• Assist with shopping, errands and essential household tasks according to individual client requirements.
• Observe client wellbeing and communicate relevant changes or concerns to appropriate care team members.
• Follow individual support plans, workplace procedures and established standards for safe client care.
• Encourage clients to maintain independence by supporting choice, participation and personal decision-making.
• Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality and respectful communication with clients, families and colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, caregivers and support staff to provide consistent and reliable home care.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role: • Relevant Certificate II or III qualification, or at least one year of suitable aged or disability care experience.
• Demonstrated experience providing personal care, mobility assistance, household support and companionship to aged or disabled clients.
• Ability to deliver compassionate, respectful and person-centred support while promoting client dignity, independence and individual choice.
• Proven ability to prepare meals, complete household duties and assist clients with shopping and everyday activities.
• Strong communication skills for working professionally with clients, families, healthcare professionals and other members of the care team.
• Ability to recognise changes in client wellbeing and promptly communicate concerns through appropriate workplace reporting procedures.
• Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, professional boundaries, workplace safety and compliance with individual care and support plans.
• Availability to provide reliable and adaptable community-based support according to changing client schedules, needs and service requirements.
