About the Role We're looking for an experienced Underground Shift Electrician to join one of the largest underground development projects currently underway in NSW - a major current block cave mine being built beneath an existing open pit at a well-established, long-life copper-gold operation in Central West NSW.
Given the scale of underground infrastructure required before the cave reaches production, this is a multi-year development project - meaning long-term security and career runway for the right person.
Working within a small crew reporting to a Supervisor and Leading Hand, you'll cover a broad scope of electrical work supporting the underground development, including:



****V reticulation and terminations Drill rig servicing and breakdowns Maintenance and installation of pumps, fans and vents Relocation and installation of jumbo boxes and pump starters Leaky feeder communication system installs and maintenance Testing, tagging, statutory checks and audits For those capable and ticketed, there's also scope to move into specialised work including 11kV reticulation, substation maintenance and installs, and HV switching and power supply - with training provided as you progress within the business.
Why This Role Day shift only roster - 15 days on, 12 off, 12-hour shifts (5:30am-5:30pm) $80-$85/hour + Super, based on experience level Genuine pathway to a permanent position with the company after 26 weeks, based on performance, attitude, culture fit, safety and skills advancement - including ongoing leave and sick day accrual once permanent Hotel-style accommodation in Dubbo - your own private room with ensuite, plus access to local gym facilities; buffet-style meals provided morning and evening Shuttle bus provided from accommodation to site each shift (approx. 1 hour each way) Regular OEM training opportunities to upskill your maintenance trade skills Work in a small,



close-knit team of trades where you'll have genuine day-to-day impact, not just be another number Join a business known for offering long-term careers with real development pathways - including opportunities to progress into senior, leadership or technical roles, and even international transfers over time About You Minimum requirements Trade qualified Electrician Current driver's licence Ability to read schematics and technical drawings Mining experience required Ability to work autonomously Can-do attitude and willingness to learn Advantageous Automine experience Underground hard rock mining equipment knowledge Drill servicing and breakdown experience HV switching tickets Personal qualities Ability to work well under pressure, in a team and autonomously Proven teamwork and ability to get on well with others Excellent attitude toward work and safety as a number one priority High level of workmanship, reliable and punctual Onboarding requirements A current police clearance (within 6 months) and a pre-employment medical (including audio, spirometry, musculoskeletal assessment, chest x-ray and D A testing) will be required prior to starting on site.
