We are seeking an experienced, passionate Chef to join our kitchen team and help deliver high-quality food and dining experiences to our local and visiting customers.
About the Role We are looking for a skilled, full time Chef to plan and prepare menus, cook and present dishes, and oversee kitchen operations.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in food quality, consistency, and kitchen management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities : Planning menus in consultation with management, taking into account customer preferences, local produce availability, and dietary requirements Estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies Discussing food preparation with kitchen and waitstaff to ensure high standards Preparing, seasoning and cooking food, including seafood,



meat and vegetarian dishes Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation Overseeing kitchen operations, rostering and coordinating activities of kitchen staff Maintaining food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards in line with regulatory requirements Training and supervising kitchen staff, including apprentices and junior cooks Maintaining kitchen equipment and ensuring proper storage of food supplies Selection Criteria : Trade qualification as a Chef (Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery) or equivalent relevant experience Minimum 1-2 years' relevant experience in a commercial kitchen environment Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment, including weekends and public holidays as required Remuneration $79,499 - $85,000 per annum (pro rata not applicable - full-time), plus superannuation, commensurate with skills and experience.
