We employ approved and professional tradespersons to prepare, apply and inspect a wide range of coating systems to residential commercial and industrial structures.

1. Role - Painter Tasks and Responsibilities • Demonstrating proficiency in the safe storage and usage of solvents, chemicals, and paints.
• Reading and interpreting drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Selecting and using appropriate equipment safely and in accordance with manufacturers' instructions and our policies and procedures.
• Erecting scaffolding and ladders, and strategically placing drop sheets to safeguard adjacent areas from any paint splatters.
• Preparing surfaces by meticulously removing old paint and wallpaper, repairing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and achieving smooth and sealed surfaces.
• Utilizing in-house technology to complete tasks.
• Demonstrating your expertise in selecting and preparing paints to the required colours.
This involves skilfully mixing portions of pigment, oil, and necessary additives for thinning and drying.
• Raising and closing off work orders within specified timelines.
• Applying paints, varnishes, and stains to surfaces using various techniques, including brushes, rollers, and sprays.
• Ensuring the cleanliness of equipment and work areas, reflecting your commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
• Carrying out work with minimal disruption to customers.
• Perform general housekeeping and maintenance of work areas, equipment, tools and facilities.
• Safely and efficiently undertake all other duties in the paint bay, yard/dispatch and workshop areas.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Quality and Environmental Management processes and procedures.
• Ensure appropriate communications between the various functions/divisions.
• Must be physically fit and meet the physical demands of the hot and humid weather in NT.

Job Type Full-Time Salary from $35 to $55 per hour
2. Role – Blaster/Industrial Spraypainter Tasks and Responsibilities Abrasive Blasting • Abrasive-blasting equipment operator • Before the abrading action, the sandblaster protects specific areas of the work surface using masking film, tape, and rubber.
• The sandblaster uses abrasive blasting equipment to remove paint, grease, tar, rust, and dirt.
• The sandblaster's control of the pressure and direction of the abrasive material is vital for preventing surface damage and injury to co-workers.
• The sandblaster is responsible for shovelling or pouring sand, grit, or other abrasive material into the machine, and monitoring and maintaining an adequate supply of the abrasive in the hopper.
• An important part of the sandblaster's job is the maintenance of the sandblasting equipment, such as cleaning and changing nozzles.
• To prevent accidents, it is essential that the sandblaster's work area is clean and orderly, and that any unsafe working conditions are corrected or reported immediately Hydro Blasting • Set up and operate hydro blaster to handle removal of hazardous and non hazardous materials in required job specifications.
• Evaluate worksite before performing work and prepare it hydro blasting work.
• Put away tools and equipment at the end of a hydro blasting session, ensuring that they were cleaned properly.
• Be capable of reading and understanding technical documents such as paint mixing procedures, and maintaining sprayer equipment as required.
• Maintain records of all hydro blasting activities, and updated records as and when required.
Painting • Apply coatings through conventional, airless, and spray systems.
• Connect air hoses, paint lines and other equipment to spray-painting machinery and adjust spray guns, nozzles, pressure and flow rates to achieve the required spray pattern and coating thickness.




• Before applying paints on the designated surfaces, the painter is responsible for preparing the paints to be used.
Mix paints to desired colours and consistencies.
• Must make an accurate selection from tools like spray equipment, airbrushes, stencils, rollers, and brushes to utilize a variety of techniques and tools in painting surfaces.
• Store, handle and dispose of paint, stain, varnish, and other chemicals according to established procedures.
Safety/General • Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
• Thoroughly go through work orders and ensure that all tools and equipment are arranged for.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition.
• Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc.
• Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.
• Maintaining proper respirator care and operation and using the breathing air supply system when spraying epoxy paints.
• Accurate and timely completion of tasks.
• Ensure workshop/site is clean and presentable at all times.
• Comply with HIMS Policies and Procedures, with particular reference to safety and environmental matters.
• Compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Customer Acts, Rules and Regulations including but not limited to Occupational, Health Safety (OHS) and Environmental.
• Clean and maintain spray-painting equipment after use, including spray nozzles, guns, containers, hoses and associated equipment, to prevent blockages and ensure equipment remains in good working condition.
Skills and Experience required • Substantial experience in blasting and coating operations in Construction, Mining, Oil Gas, Defence or Engineering Industry • Assist in providing quotations and estimating services • Scheduling and resource allocation • Use of safe work procedures including SWMS, JSA ITP's • Working knowledge and experience with protective coating application, abrasive UHP blasting and corrosion control systems • Experience with large project industrial abrasive blasting coating programs • Managing updating project schedules • Ability to read interpret engineering drawings specifications • Valid Driver's Licence • Preferred with Certificate in Surface Preparation Coating Technology, Certificate Hydro Blasting Operations, High Risk Work Licence, Forklift, Scaffolding, LR/MR/HR Truck Drivers Licence, Working at Heights ticket • Values team work and has a positive attitude to working in a safe and productive manner • Knowledge of OH S and environmental legislation and quality assurance systems • Commitment to building a long term career • Ability to carry out work with minimal supervision Job Type Full time Salary from $33 to $55 per hour
