About the Opportunity

Join Metcash as a Primary Freight Coordinator and play a key role in keeping freight moving across our national network. Working closely with suppliers, transport partners and internal teams, you'll coordinate end-to-end freight operations, deliver great service outcomes and help drive the success of our growing Primary Freight function.

In this Role
n
n




Coordinate end-to-end primary freight operations, including supplier alignment, carrier management and freight execution
n
Partner with suppliers, transport providers and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient freight movement and service delivery
n
Drive service excellence across the primary freight network while supporting commercial outcomes
n
Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across a diverse network of internal and external partners
n
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and performance
n
Collaborate across the broader supply chain team to support strategic initiatives and future growth
n
n
You're Likely a Match If
n
n
Experience in freight, logistics or supply chain operations, ideally within FMCG, retail or transport environments
n
Strong knowledge of the Australian transport and supply chain industry
n
Experience coordinating freight movements and working with transport providers and suppliers
n
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships
n
Proficiency using Transport Management Systems (TMS),



Microsoft Office and related systems
n
A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement, problem-solving and delivering great service outcomes
n
