Job Description
A great opportunity for a Payroll / HR Remediation Specialist to join a growing organisation on an initial 3–4 month fixed-term contract, supporting a payroll compliance remediation project. This role is suited to someone who can move beyond identifying payroll issues and lead the analysis, quantification and remediation through to a defensible outcome.

About the role:

Review and validate payroll compliance findings across multiple entities
n
Analyse up to six years of payroll data to identify and quantify potential underpayments
n
Calculate underpayments, including superannuation and interest components
n
Interpret Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and employment contracts
n
Assess obligations under the Fair Work Act and Superannuation Guarantee legislation
n
Develop remediation and back-payment calculation methodologies
n
Identify payroll system configuration issues contributing to incorrect payments
n
Work with payroll and systems teams to validate corrected configurations
n
Maintain detailed remediation registers, documentation and audit trails
n
Partner with HRBPs and senior leaders to ensure remediation is accurately implemented
n

About you:
n
n
Proven experience delivering payroll compliance remediation / underpayment projects
n
Strong knowledge of Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
n
Robust understanding of superannuation compliance and underpayments
n
Experience designing and validating back-payment calculations
n
Practical understanding of payroll systems and configuration
n
The ability to analyse large, complex payroll datasets
n
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to communicate complex issues to senior leaders
n
High levels of discretion and attention to detail
