Are you a qualified Automotive Technician looking for a reliable, full-time position with one of Cairns' leading automotive dealerships?

Pacific Toyota Cairns is looking for an experienced and motivated Roadworthy (RWC) Technician to join our team.
n
This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, established dealership where you'll work alongside an experienced team in a professional workshop environment.
n
About the Role
n
As our RWC Technician, your primary responsibility will be inspecting vehicles and ensuring they meet Queensland roadworthiness and safety requirements.
n
Working closely with our Used Vehicle, Reconditioning and Service teams, you will play an important role in maintaining the quality and safety standards expected across our dealership.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Conducting thorough roadworthy and safety inspections on vehicles
n
Identifying defects, safety concerns and required repairs
n
Completing RWC documentation accurately and efficiently
n
Ensuring vehicles comply with Queensland roadworthiness requirements
n
Clearly communicating inspection findings and required repairs to the relevant department
n
Carrying out mechanical repairs and maintenance where required
n
Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
n
Ensuring workshop equipment, tools and work areas are maintained appropriately
n
Working closely with our wider workshop and reconditioning teams
n
Staying up to date with relevant regulations, requirements and industry standards
n

What We're Looking For
n
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
n
n
Queensland Approved Examiner / RWC qualifications – highly regarded
n
Previous experience completing roadworthy inspections or vehicle reconditioning
n
Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to confidently identify vehicle defects
n
Excellent attention to detail
n
Good communication and problem-solving skills
n
The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
n
A current Queensland Driver Licence
n
A positive attitude and pride in producing quality work
n
n
Already a qualified technician but don't currently hold your RWC/Approved Examiner accreditation? We are happy to discuss assisting the right applicant through the process.
