About the Company

A well-establishedvolume residential developer-builderwith a strong pipeline of residential projects across Sydney is looking for a Senior Designer / Draftsperson to join its team.
n
About the Role
n
This is a hands-on senior design and drafting position for someone who can independently manage the design and documentation process.
n
You'll work closely with senior management, construction, estimating and procurement teams to ensure designs are practical, compliant and construction-ready.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead and independently manage residential design and drafting work
n
Produce detailed construction and working drawings
n
Develop and amend architectural documentation throughout the project lifecycle
n
Coordinate designs with structural, civil and other consultants
n
Review designs for buildability, cost and construction requirements
n
Ensure documentation complies with NCC, Australian Standards and planning requirements
n
Assist with design development and value engineering
n
Coordinate design changes and documentation revisionsWork closely with estimating,



procurement and construction teams
n
Liaise with consultants, councils and relevant authorities where required
n
n
About You
n
n
Strong experience as a Designer, Draftsperson or Architectural Draftsperson
n
Extensive residential construction experience, ideally with a volume residential builder/developer
n
Strong proficiency in relevant design and drafting software
n
Able to independently manage projects from design development through to construction documentation
n
Strong understanding of residential construction methods, detailing and buildability
n
Valuable knowledge of NCC and Australian Standards
n
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
n
Commercially aware with an understanding of construction costs and practical design
n
n
