As our next Accountant on a 9-month fixed-term parental leave contract, you'll have the prospect to contribute to meaningful business initiatives, collaborate with experienced professionals, and build valuable experience in a dynamic and cutting-edge environment that supports your growth and success.
About the role:
Monthly reporting and analysis.
Journals, accruals and prepayments.
Maintaining the fixed asset register.
Inventory accounting.
Cost allocations and balance sheet reconciliations.
Supporting audits, group reporting and compliance requirements.
Tax compliance including FBT schedules, income tax schedules for tax-effect accounting.
Payment times reporting.
Business partnering with departments including IT, HR, Production, Digital, Circulation and Events.
About you:
Accounting degree and/or working towards CA/CPA completion.
Experience in a finance or accounting role.
Strong attention to detail and great time management.
Able to manage competing deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Flexible, proactive and team-focused.
Ability to partner with leaders across the business and maintain good relationships.
