We are seeking a Qualified Cabinet Maker to join a busy main factory and warehouse in Alexandria. This is a 6-month contract with a strong view to permanent employment for the right person.
n
You will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling quality cabinetry and joinery while working as part of an experienced production team.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Manufacture and assemble cabinets and joinery to specifications
n
Read and interpret technical drawings and plans
n
Measure, cut and prepare timber, MDF, laminate and other materials
n
Operate woodworking machinery, power tools and hand tools
n
Assemble cabinetry, doors, panels, shelving and components
n
Install hinges, handles, runners and other hardware
n
Complete quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
n
Identify and rectify defects or production issues
n
Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
n
Prepare completed cabinetry for dispatch
n
Maintain a clean and organised factory environment




n
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
n
Work collaboratively with the wider production team
n
Meet production deadlines without compromising quality
n
Assist with general factory and warehouse duties as required
n

About You
n
n
Qualified Cabinet Maker with a recognised trade qualification
n
Proven experience in cabinet making and joinery
n
Strong knowledge of cabinet construction and assembly
n
Confident operating woodworking machinery and power tools
n
Able to accurately read drawings and take measurements
n
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
n
Reliable, punctual and safety conscious
n
Strong communication and teamwork skills
n
Able to work independently and meet production deadlines
n
Comfortable working in a busy factory workplace
n
