The Role
n
As a Wellbeing Partner, you will work closely with principals and school teams to support effective, student-centred decision-making that promotes student wellbeing, engagement, learning and growth.
n
Drawing on your expertise in student wellbeing, behaviour support, attendance, safeguarding and educational support, you will provide professional guidance, coaching and collaborative case support that strengthens school capability and confidence.
n
This specialist advisory role works in partnership with schools to build consistent wellbeing practices, support complex student matters and ensure schools are equipped to respond with care, professionalism and evidence-informed approaches.
n
Key Responsibilities
n

Partner with principals and school teams to support informed, student-centred decision-making that places students and families at the heart of every response.
n
Provide specialist advice and guidance in complex matters relating to student wellbeing, behaviour, attendance and enrolment considerations.
n
Contribute to collaborative case management and multidisciplinary responses that support positive outcomes for students.
n
Support schools through professional guidance, coaching and mentoring that builds capability, confidence and consistency of practice.
n
Design and deliver professional learning that strengthens wellbeing practices across schools.
n
Provide advice on relevant legislative,



policy and compliance requirements relating to student wellbeing and duty of care.
n
Respond to school requests for support in a manner that promotes shared responsibility, transparency and care.
n
Maintain accurate, timely and high-quality documentation in accordance with system, legislative and safeguarding requirements.
n
Collaborate with Wellbeing, Disability and Learning teams to ensure coordinated support for schools.
n
Contribute professional insights, trends and data to support system planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

In Addition, as a Wellbeing Partner You Will
n
n
Provide specialist wellbeing expertise to assist schools in responding to complex student needs.
n
Support principals and school leaders to navigate challenging behaviour, attendance and wellbeing concerns.
n
Facilitate cooperative and coordinated responses involving families, schools and external agencies where required.
n
Develop practical resources, guidance materials and frameworks that strengthen student wellbeing practices across the system.
n
Coach school leaders and staff to build sustainable wellbeing approaches that enhance student engagement and belonging.
n
Support schools to implement evidence-informed strategies that promote positive behaviour, participation and inclusion.
n
Contribute to the ongoing development of system-wide wellbeing policies, procedures and best-practice approaches.
n
Promote consistency in student wellbeing practices across schools while recognising local context and needs.
n

About You
n




You are a knowledgeable and relationship-focused professional with specialist expertise in student wellbeing and a genuine commitment to supporting schools to create safe, inclusive and thriving learning environments.
n
You will bring:
n
n
Demonstrated expertise in student wellbeing, behaviour support, mental health, student engagement or a related specialist area.
n
Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policy frameworks and compliance requirements within education settings.
n
Experience supporting principals, school leaders and staff through professional guidance, coaching and mentoring.
n
Proven ability to contribute to complex case management and multidisciplinary responses.
n
Strong understanding of factors impacting student wellbeing, attendance, engagement and learning outcomes.
n
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
n
Sound professional judgement and the ability to navigate complex and sensitive situations with confidence and discretion.
n
Strong organisational, documentation and record-keeping skills.
n
Experience working within schools, education systems or related human services environments.
n
Qualifications in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Youth Work, Behaviour Support or a related discipline.
