Job Description
Our client is a fast-growing, global renewable energy company specialising in residential solar and battery energy storage solutions. They are seeking an experienced After-Sales Service Engineer to support the residential solar and battery business in Australia (Sydney).

This role is critical in ensuring system reliability, customer satisfaction, and the delivery of high-quality after-sales technical support across installed systems.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
1) After-Sales Technical Support
n
n
Provide technical support for residential solar PV and battery energy storage systems via phone, email, and on-site service.
n
Diagnose system faults, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
n
Support installers and end customers with system operation, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
n
n
2) Field Service & Commissioning
n
n
Perform in office commissioning, fault diagnosis, and system optimisation in accordance with Australian standards and safety requirements.
n
Support warranty-related activities, including coordination of repairs, replacements, and spare parts.
n
Conduct technical inspections and field service visits as required.
n
n
3) Customer Communication & Reporting
n
n
Act as a professional technical point of contact for customers and installation partners.
n
Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
n
Prepare service reports and documentation, providing structured feedback on product performance and recurring issues.
n
Collaborate with internal technical support, product, and engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues.
n
Participate in product training and ongoing technical development.
n
Deliver technical guidance or after-sales training to installers and partners when required.
n

Job Requirements:
n
n
Minimum 3 years' experience in after-sales service, technical support, or field service engineering within the residential solar and battery sector in Australia.
n
Hands‐on experience with residential solar PV systems, inverters, and battery energy storage solutions.
n
Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
n
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
n
Ability to work independently and manage field-based activities.
n
Valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
n
Relevant technical qualification (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or similar) is highly regarded.
