Our client is an established commercial fit-out contractor delivering highly detailed and technically projects valued up to $20m.

Working across premium workplaces and other specialised commercial environments, the business is recognised for its high-quality finishes, collaborative approach and ability to deliver challenging projects with demanding programs.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead projects through tender, design development and construction handover.
n
The Role
n
The Preconstruction Manager will take ownership of opportunities from initial client engagement through to contract award and project commencement.
n
You will coordinate estimating, design, programming, procurement and delivery planning to ensure each project is commercially sound, technically resolved and positioned for a successful construction phase.
n
This is a senior role requiring strong commercial fit-out knowledge, leadership capability and the ability to bring together clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead the preconstruction process from initial opportunity through to project handover
n
Review tender documentation, client briefs, drawings and specifications
n
Develop tender strategies in collaboration with the estimating and leadership teams
n
Coordinate design development and resolve buildability issues
n




Manage consultants and ensure design information meets program requirements
n
Review project scope, methodology, staging, logistics and construction programs
n
Identify commercial, design, procurement and delivery risks
n
Lead value-management initiatives without compromising design intent or quality
n

About You
n
n
Significant preconstruction, estimating or project management experience
n
Strong background in commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects
n
Experience delivering or tendering projects valued up to $20m
n
Thorough understanding of high-end finishes and detailed construction
n
Strong knowledge of design management, buildability and construction methodology
n
Ability to interpret architectural, services and engineering documentation
n
Sound commercial judgment and contract awareness
n
Experience managing consultants and specialist subcontractors
n
Ability to lead multiple tenders and preconstruction programs concurrently
n
