McDonald's Assistant Restaurant Manager- McDonald's Olympic Boulevard

Robanlou Pty Ltd operates multiple McDonald's Family Restaurants in the Parramatta region of Sydney.
n
Given the needs of the business, we now require a Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our busy team. The successful candidate will be required to work out of our premises at McDonald's Olympic Boulevard, Homebush Bay.
n
The duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Restaurant Manager position include:
n
Operational Management
n
n
Manage daily store operations in alignment with McDonald's operational standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
n
Oversee all front-of-house and back-of-house activities including product flow, food safety, kitchen efficiency, and shift execution.
n
Monitor compliance with HACCP protocols, WHS legislation, and internal audit frameworks
n
Prepare for and lead internal and external audits, ensuring all compliance documentation is current and fully auditable.
n
Implement, monitor, and review compliance registers, risk controls, and operational checklists.
n
n
Industrial Relations & Award Compliance
n
n
Ensure all employment practices comply with the Fast Food Industry Award ****, including:n
n
Overseeing rostering in line with ordinary hours, penalties, and break entitlements
n
Managing and complying with the children and young person's employment legislation.
n
Record-keeping and payroll compliance
n
n
n
Financial & Inventory Oversight
n
n
Monitor and report on KPIs such as sales growth, COGS, wastage, and labour-to-sales ratio.
n
Manage budgets, including cost forecasting and P&L; accountability.
n
Lead inventory control using digital stock management systems, ensuring loss prevention and supplier compliance.
n
n
Team Development & Leadership Pipeline
n
n
Lead structured training programs aligned with McDonald's L&D; frameworks to upskill shift leaders, supervisors, and assistant managers.
n
Establish performance goals, deliver coaching feedback, and support succession planning initiatives.
n
Promote a compliant, safe, and inclusive work workplace in line with McDonald's policies and the Fair Work Act.
n
n
Customer Experience & Quality Control
n
n
Implement customer service standards and training programs to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service.
n
Address customer escalations through structured complaint management and root cause analysis.
n
n
Required Qualifications & Skills
n
n
Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Management,
Business, or Hospitality AND at least 1 year of relevant industry experience; OR
n
At least 3 years full time relevant experience in a compliance-led management role within the QSR, hospitality, or retail sectors.
n
n
In addition to the above, the ideal candidate will have:
n
n
Working knowledge of the Fast Food Industry Award **** and experience in implementing award-based compliance.
n
Current and valid Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (required).
n
Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) and Fire Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
n
Proficiency with operational systems such as InMoment, BrandM8.
n
Experience preparing for or managing compliance audits, risk reviews, and workplace investigations.
n
Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills, particularly with training and mentoring upcoming management staff.
n
High attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
n
n
A base salary of $80,000 per annum (plus superannuation) will be offered to the successful candidate.
