About the Role
n
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead front-of-house and overall restaurant operations for an Indian Restaurant and Café. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who excels in people management, service excellence, and operational control while working closely with ownership and the Head Chef to build a high-performing venue.

Key Responsibilities
n
1. Service Delivery, Customer Experience
n
n
Lead front-of-house service to deliver a warm, professional, and consistent guest experience
n
Manage reservations, seating flow, table turns, and service standards during peak periods
n
Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally to drive repeat business and strong reviews
n
Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations including opening, closing, and shift execution
n
Coordinate service flow between front-of-house, bar, and kitchen teams
n
Ensure smooth service during high-volume lunch and dinner trade
n
Recruit, train, roster, and manage front-of-house staff including supervisors, waitstaff, and baristas
n
Set clear expectations, coach performance, and build a positive, accountable team culture
n
Maintain appropriate staffing levels while controlling labour costs
n
n
4. Compliance, Safety & Standards
n
n
Ensure compliance with NSW food safety, WHS, RSA, and council requirements
n




Maintain service standards, cleanliness, and presentation across dining, bar, and customer areas
n
Ensure staff are trained and compliant with safety and service procedures
n
n
5. Financial Control & Business Performance
n
n
Manage labour costs, cash handling, POS systems, and daily reporting
n
Support pricing, promotions, and upselling strategies to maximise revenue
n
Work with ownership to improve operational efficiency, profitability, and long-term growth
n
n
Key Skills & Experience Required
n
n
Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or Assistant Manager in a full-service restaurant
n
Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
n
Experience managing teams in busy, high-volume hospitality environments
n
Solid understanding of labour control, rostering, and service operations
n
Good knowledge of Australian hospitality compliance, including WHS and RSA
n
Experience managing Indian or culturally diverse restaurants
n
Experience opening a new restaurant or relaunching a venue
n
