We're looking for an experienced Mental Health Clinician to join the multidisciplinary team at headspace Darwin, providing high-quality mental health support to young people aged ***** years.

About the Role
n
As a Mental Health Clinician, you'll provide screening, assessment and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns. Working alongside a passionate multidisciplinary team, you'll support young people from their first contact through to ongoing care, helping them achieve meaningful outcomes.
n

What You'll Be Doing
n

Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial and mental health assessments.
n
Deliver evidence-based individual, family and group interventions.
n
Undertake risk assessments, safety planning and ongoing care coordination.
n
Support young people using a strengths-based, recovery-focused approach.
n
Work collaboratively with families, schools,



community organisations and health services.
n
Facilitate warm referrals and ensure young people receive the right support at the right time.
n
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and data collection.
n
Participate in clinical supervision, quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary case discussions.
n
Represent headspace Darwin through community education, group programs and outreach activities.
n
n
About You
n
You are an experienced and compassionate clinician who enjoys working with young people and values collaborative, person-centred care.
n
You'll ideally have:
n
n
An approved tertiary qualification in a relevant health or mental health discipline.
n
Current registration with AHPRA or eligibility for qualified membership (such as AASW).
n
A minimum of 3 years' clinical experience in mental health or a related health setting.
n
Experience conducting mental health and risk assessments, safety planning and therapeutic interventions.
n
Knowledge of youth mental health, recovery-oriented practice and trauma-informed care.
n
Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
n
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
n
A genuine commitment to culturally safe practice and working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, families and communities.
n

Essential Requirements
n
n
Current AHPRA registration or relevant professional membership.
n
Northern Territory Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).
n
National Police Check.
n
Current NT Driver Licence.
n
Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
n
Evidence of required vaccinations.
n
Australian working rights.
n
n
