Pepe's Mexican Restaurant Jindalee is looking for an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. Key Responsibilities
n

Assist the Head Chef with the daily operation of the kitchen.
n
Lead and support the kitchen team during preparation and service.
n
Ensure consistent food quality, presentation and portion control.
n
Prepare and cook food according to Pepe's recipes and standards.
n
Monitor stock levels, food storage and minimise wastage.
n
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
n
Train and support junior kitchen team members.
n
Assist with ordering, stock control and kitchen cost management.
n




Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently during busy service periods.
n
Work closely with the Head Chef and management to maintain Pepe's standards.
n
n
About You
n
n
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior Chef.
n
Solid leadership and communication skills.
n
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
n
High attention to food quality and consistency.
n
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene.
n
Reliable, organised and hands-on.
n
Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
n
