Join the Knotted Australia Team
n
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager to join our Hyde Park opening team.
n
Working closely with the Store Manager, you'll help lead day-to-day store operations, develop the team, and ensure our guests consistently receive the high-quality experience Knotted is known for.
n
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working alongside their team, solving problems, and creating a positive and efficient store environment.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Support the Store Manager with daily store operations and team management.
n
Lead and motivate the team to deliver excellent customer service.
n
Supervise daily shifts and support the team during busy service periods.
n
Assist with rostering, staff training, onboarding, and team development.
n
Maintain high standards of product quality, presentation, cleanliness, and hospitality.
n
Support opening and closing procedures, POS operations, and cash handling.
n
Monitor stock levels, ordering, inventory, and wastage.
n
Assist with achieving store sales, labour, and operational targets.
n
Handle customer enquiries and resolve concerns professionally.
n
Ensure food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures are followed.

Communicate effectively across front-of-house, barista, pastry, and management teams.
n
Support the Store Manager with implementing company procedures and operational standards.
n
Take responsibility for store operations when the Store Manager is unavailable.
n
Help establish a positive team culture and smooth operations for the Hyde Park opening.
n

About You
n
n
Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, or similar leadership role within hospitality.
n
Experience in a busy café, bakery, restaurant, or other high-volume hospitality environment.
n
Strong leadership skills with experience training, supporting, and motivating team members.
n
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
n
Strong organisation, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
n
Comfortable managing shifts and making operational decisions independently.
n
Experience with rostering, POS systems, cash handling, stock control, and daily store procedures.
n
Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements.
n
Barista or specialty coffee experience is highly regarded.
n
Reliable, professional, and positive with a hands‐on approach to leadership.
n
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
