We are seeking a proactive Environment, Safety, Health & Security (ESHS) Specialist to support our site's commitment to a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. Reporting to the Plant EHS Manager, you will gain exposure across environment, safety, and security while building your capability through meaningful, practical involvement.

The Role
n
Working closely with the Plant EHS Manager, you will actively support and contribute to site EHS performance, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
Environment & Sustainability
n
Support the EHS Manager in the implementation and maintenance of environmental management systems (ISO *****).
n
Assist with environmental reporting, data tracking, and trend analysis (energy, waste, water, emissions).
n
Coordinate waste management activities, including tracking, segregation, and contractor engagement.
n
Conduct environmental inspections and ensure compliance with local and national regulations.
n
Support sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
n
Health & Safety
n
Contribute to day-to-day safety management and support site compliance with safety legislation and standards (e.g., ISO *****).
n
Conduct risk assessments, JHAs, inspections, and workplace audits.
n
Participate in incident investigations and assist in developing corrective and preventative actions.
n
Support training delivery, toolbox talks, and EHS communication initiatives.
n
Assist with monitoring contractor safety and ensuring safe work permits are effectively managed.
n
Maintain accurate EHS records, documentation, and reporting.
n
Security
n
Support implementation and monitoring of site security procedures and access control processes.
n
Conduct routine security inspections and assist in coordinating emergency response procedures.
n
Liaise with contractors, security providers, and internal stakeholders to maintain a secure workplace.
n
Be a visible presence on the floor, support and promote best practices and engaging with employees.
n
Support EHS campaigns, events, and improvement programs.
n
Contribute to cross-functional problem-solving initiatives with a focus on EHS excellence.
n
You will bring:
n
Experience in an EHS-related role within manufacturing, industrial operations, or similar environment.
n
Strong understanding of health, safety, and/or environmental regulations.
n
Competence in risk assessments, incident investigation, and safety systems.
n
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
n
Solid administrative and data-management capability, including MS Office suite.
n
Ideally, you will also have:
n
Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or similar field.
n
Experience with ISO management systems ******, *****, *****).
n
Experience supporting emergency response or security operations.
n
