Position Purpose:
n
Disability Support Worker (DSW) role aims to provide person-centred support to participants, helping them achieve their NDIS goals and live as independently as possible. This includes delivering personalised care, promoting community participation, and ensuring the safety, well-being, and dignity of participants. The role also involves maintaining accurate documentation, following compliance protocols,
collaborating with team members, and supporting the cleanliness and maintenance of participant living environments.

Type: Casual/Vacation

Salary: $***** – $***** per hour
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Provide person-centered support including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
n
Follow and adhere compliance, protocol and documentations
n
Communication and team collaboration
n
Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and dietary needs.
n
Administer medication in line with care plans and policies.
n
Facilitate community access and social activities to promote engagement.
n
Support with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
n
Implement and contribute to individualised support plans.
n
Monitor and report on client progress, behaviours, and health changes.
n
Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and support team.
n
Maintain workplace health and safety standards.
n
Offer emotional support, companionship, and encouragement.
n
n
Key Requirements:
n
n
Minimum of 1 years of experience in disability or aged care support.
n
Certificate III or IV in Disability or Individual Support
n
Experience with high-complex needs, including mobility and behavioural support.
n
Understanding of person-centered practices and ability to work independently or in a team.
n
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
n
Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and empathy.
n
MUST have current First Aid and CPR certificate.
n
MUSST have current police check
n
MUST have NDIS Worker Screening Check.
n
MUST have valid full driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
n
