We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team, located at our Archerfield Head Office. This is a permanent full-time, Monday to Friday role.
n
Reporting to the Finance Manager - Operations, this is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to broaden their experience across financial reporting, technical accounting, group reporting and external audit activities.
n
Working as part of a collaborative Finance team, you will support financial reporting requirements, contribute to technical accounting matters and assist with key business initiatives.
n
What you'll be doing:
n
As a Senior Financial Accountant, your role will support these key areas:
n
Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting
n
n
Prepare accounting and reporting for leases, intercompany accounting and eliminations, foreign currency translation and hedge accounting.
n
Prepare technical accounting papers and position papers to support accounting conclusions and business decisions.
n
Support the application of IFRS and Group Accounting Policies across the business.
n
Assess the accounting implications of customer tenders and commercial arrangements.
n
Develop and maintain impairment and value-in-use models, including supporting assumptions and documentation.
n
Contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual group reporting requirements.
n
n
Audit & Compliance
n
n
Lead the coordination of external audit activities and act as a key point of contact for auditors.
n
Lead the preparation of audit deliverables, schedules and supporting documentation.
n




Support statutory reporting requirements and accounting disclosures.
n
Maintain compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
n
n
Business Partnering & Team Support
n
n
Work collaboratively with the wider Finance team to support reporting, projects and business initiatives.
n
Share knowledge and work alongside team members to achieve reporting and business objectives.
n
Build effective relationships with stakeholders across the business.
n
Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and controls.
n
n
What you'll need:
n
A successful teammate will have:
n
n
CA or CPA qualified.
n
Experience in external audit, accounting advisory, financial reporting or a similar accounting role.
n
Solid knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers and IFRS 16 Leases.
n
Experience preparing technical accounting papers and documenting accounting positions.
n
Strong financial reporting and audit experience.
n
Experience with accounting for heavy equipment sales, lease and after-sales contracts, impairment assessments, foreign currency translation and hedge accounting is highly regarded.
n
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
