About the Role
n
As a Family Support Practitioner, you'll deliver vital outreach family case management to vulnerable and marginalised families, caregivers, children, and young people in Brisbane's inner northern suburbs.
n
This part-time chance supports our multidisciplinary team approach, helping families at risk with information, practical skill development, and intensive support strategies.
n
What You'll Do
n
n
Engage with families, build trust, and obtain consent for support.
n
Develop and implement case plans that correspond to identified unmet needs and child protection concerns.
n
Work collaboratively with a wide range of services and professionals.
n




Advocate for families and support them through complex challenges.
n
Build culturally safe, respectful, and inclusive relationships with families from diverse backgrounds.
n

What You'll Bring
n
n
A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Services or related discipline.
n
Demonstrated experience working with families experiencing high levels of challenges.
n
High cultural competency with the ability to work sensitively across cultures.
n
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
n
A passion for social justice and making a difference in the lives of children and families.
