About the Role

This is a senior front-end position with responsibility for guiding projects from early engagement through design development, pricing and into delivery.
n
You'll work closely with clients, consultants, estimating and project teams to ensure opportunities are commercially viable, technically sound and properly set up before construction begins.
n
Key responsibilities will include:
n

Leading projects through pre-construction and design development
n
Coordinating architects, consultants and key stakeholders
n
Driving constructability reviews and value engineering
n
Developing procurement and subcontractor engagement strategies
n
Working closely with estimating around cost planning and tendering
n
Identifying design, commercial and programme risks early
n
Managing client relationships throughout the pre-construction phase
n
Supporting contract negotiations and project conversion
n
Ensuring a structured handover into the delivery team
n

About You
n




You'll come from a commercial construction / D&C; background with strong experience across pre-construction, project management, design management or a combination of these areas.
n
You'll understand how to take a project beyond simply pricing the job and be comfortable working across design, commercial, programme and delivery considerations.
n
You'll ideally bring:
n
n
Strong commercial construction experience
n
Exposure to D&C; and early contractor involvement
n
Experience coordinating consultants and design teams
n
Valuable commercial and contractual awareness
n
Strong client and stakeholder management skills
n
A practical understanding of buildability and project delivery
n
The confidence to challenge design, programme and commercial assumptions
n
n
Suitable backgrounds could include Pre-Construction Manager, Senior Project Manager, Design Manager or Project Manager with significant front-end experience.
