Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Cyber Security Change Lead to drive organisational change and adoption across a portfolio of high-priority cyber security initiatives within a large and complex government environment.

This is a senior change role requiring someone who can bridge the gap between technical cyber security requirements and people-focused change. You'll develop and execute change strategies, assess organisational readiness, manage stakeholder engagement and help embed sustainable security practices across a large and diverse user base.

A key focus will be driving adoption of ASD Essential Eight security controls, making previous experience within cyber security transformation or security uplift programs highly desirable.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Develop and execute scalable change and communications strategies supporting major cyber security initiatives.
n
Lead change activities supporting the implementation and adoption of ASD Essential Eight controls.
n
Drive adoption across initiatives including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Application Control, Patching and Restricting Administrative Privileges.
n
Translate complex technical and security requirements into explicit, practical and user-friendly communications and workflows.
n
Conduct detailed change impact and readiness assessments, identifying resistance, operational risks and potential workflow impacts.
n
Develop practical mitigation and engagement strategies to support successful adoption.
n
Partner with ICT project teams to align change milestones with government cyber directives, audit commitments and regulatory timelines.
n
Engage and influence diverse stakeholder groups across corporate, technical and operational environments.
n
Track user readiness and adoption, providing clear reporting on risks,



progress and outcomes to senior leadership.
n
Support the transition of security initiatives into BAU, embedding sustainable cyber security practices and behaviours.
n

About You
n
You'll be an experienced Change Lead or Senior Change Manager with a strong track record delivering organisational change across complex technology environments.
n
Importantly, you'll also bring a solid understanding of cyber security governance and security uplift initiatives, allowing you to translate technical security requirements into meaningful change for end users.
n
You will ideally bring:
n
n
Strong senior-level Organisational Change Management (OCM) experience.
n
Demonstrated experience delivering change across cyber security, technology adoption or security uplift programs.
n
Working knowledge of the ASD Essential Eight maturity model and controls.
n
Experience supporting adoption of security controls such as MFA, application control, patching and privileged access.
n
Strong experience developing and executing change, communications and stakeholder engagement strategies.
n
Demonstrated capability conducting change impact, risk and readiness assessments.
n
Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, facilitation and influencing skills.
n
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly messaging.
n
Experience measuring adoption, readiness and change outcomes.
n
Experience successfully transitioning project changes into sustainable BAU practices.
n
Previous experience delivering large-scale technology or security programs within government/public sector environments will be highly regarded.
n
