AEW Engineering is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join our workshop team in Lambton, NSW.

CNC milling experience is desired but not essential; strong turning skills are the priority.

About the role
n
As a full-time CNC Turning Machinist, you will play a crucial role in our production and manufacturing processes, utilizing your technical expertise to deliver high-quality turned parts and repairs for our clients.
n
This role has been created to support our expanding client base and increased production capacity following the purchase of new equipment. You'll be hands-on across setup, operation, and programming on CNC lathes, with a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement.

What we're looking for
n
n
Proven experience as a CNC Turner / CNC Machinist in a jobbing or low-volume production environment.
n
Strong working knowledge of CNC turning, machine operation, and tooling.




n
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
n
Commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
n
Robust communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when needed.
n
Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (e.g., Fitter & Turner, Toolmaker, Cert III in Engineering).
n
CNC milling experience desired but not essential—turning is the core requirement.
n
Okuma experience preferred, but not essential—training will be provided for the right candidate.
n
