Location: Canberra (Open to other Capital Cities)
n
Contract: 12 month contract starting September **** + numerous extensions
n
Security Clearance: NV1 clearance required

About the Role
n
We are seeking an experienced Senior Performance Tester to assess and ensure the responsiveness, scalability, and stability of systems under varying workloads.
n
This role will see you working closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality testing outcomes across complex environments.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Develop and maintain test strategies and test plans
n
Design, execute, and manage manual and automated test cases (functional & non-functional)
n
Perform performance testing to evaluate system scalability and reliability
n
Create and maintain test scripts and ensure quality standards are met
n
Manage defect lifecycle, including reporting, tracking, and resolution
n
Develop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM)
n
Collaborate with Business Analysts, vendors, and technical teams to define test conditions
n
Lead and coordinate test management activities across projects
n
Provide reporting on test progress, risks, and outcomes
n
Ensure compliance with government information management standards
n
Mentor and support junior team members
n
Contribute to continuous improvement of ICT testing practices and processes
n
n
Technical Skills & Experience
n
n
Experience with test automation tools for scripting and execution
n
Strong background in performance testing, ideally using tools such as LoadRunner
n
Experience with test management tools (e.g. ALM or equivalent)
n
Ability to manage test execution, regression testing, and defect tracking
n
Familiarity with API testing and database querying
n
Understanding of Agile and DevOps environments
n
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
n
