1 on 1 Tax Accountants – Highland Park QLD

For over a decade, 1 on 1 Tax has provided quality service and competitive tax refunds to clients from around Australia. Our services range far beyond individual taxation; we also assist with business taxation, superannuation, setting up structures, business advisory, tax planning and much more.

With our clientele rapidly growing each year, we are hoping to find a young, enthusiastic accountant assistant to join our family.

About You
n
You're a passionate, outgoing individual who can complete tasks both on your own AND in a team, and you can easily work in a fast-paced environment. You have completed a degree or qualification in accounting, have fantastic English skills, and are an Australian Resident.
n
Key Functions of the role
n
Preparing workpapers for income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSF's from either Xero, MYOB, or Quickbooks
n
Preparing business activity statements and instalment activity statements for accountants from client software or manual workbooks.
n
Maintain and update Asset Register including depreciation and reconcile to general ledger
n
Reconciling and maintaining business records and transactions
n
Liaising with the ATO and other government bodies where required
n




Responding to client queries in a timely, accurate and thoughtful manner
n
Following up with Client bookkeeping deadlines to ensure the accounts are finalised for financial reporting by the due dates
n
Review and pay superannuation liabilities by the due date for clients
n
Ideally you will have;
n
Experience in preparation/lodgement of income tax returns and BAS's
n
Experience with hands-on bookkeeping/payroll/accounting, including BAS and other taxation reporting
n
High-level numeracy and reconciliation skills, with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy with figures
n
Demonstrated the ability to meet deadlines
n
The ability work in a rapid paced, high energy environment
n
Completed a degree or certification in accounting
n
Be a resident of Australia
n
Great communications skills, both verbal and written
n
