Job Description
We are a well-established holistic financial advisory firm based in the Sydney CBD, providing advice across superannuation, retirement planning, insurance and broader wealth strategy.
n
We are seeking an experienced Financial Planner who values long-term client relationships, high-quality advice and working within a clearly defined advisory framework. This role will suit someone who enjoys ownership, accountability and being the primary adviser for their clients.
n
About the Role
n
As a Financial Planner in our advisory team, you will:
n
n
Provide holistic financial advice across superannuation, retirement and insurance
n
Manage and develop an existing book of clients, including risk clients transitioning toward broader financial planning
n
Spend meaningful time speaking directly with clients and prospects (primarily via phone and virtual meetings) to build trust and identify advice needs
n
Conduct client meetings and deliver clear, compliant and practical advice
n
Work closely with our offshore administration and paraplanning team using established processes and communication rhythms
n
Take responsibility for advice quality, client outcomes and ongoing relationships
n
Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
n
n
This is a relationship-led advice role. While opportunities for growth exist, success comes from consistent adviser-led client engagement rather than high-pressure or transactional sales activity.
n
What We're Looking For
n
You will bring:
n
n
A minimum of 4 years' experience as a Financial Planner
n
The minimum education and professional standards to practise as a Financial Adviser in Australia, including relevant qualifications and completion of the ASIC Financial Adviser Exam
n
Strong verbal and written communication skills
n
Confidence building rapport with clients over the phone, via video and in person
n
A structured and organised approach to advice delivery and time management
n
Comfort working independently within agreed frameworks, processes and expectations
n
Openness to feedback, learning and continuous improvement
n
Emotional maturity and professionalism when working with clients and colleagues
n
n
Experience in client engagement, risk advice or introducing broader advice conversations will be advantageous. This role prioritises long-term relationships and advice quality over short-term sales outcomes.
n
What We Offer
n
n
An established client base with ongoing advice opportunities
n
Dedicated administration and paraplanning support through an offshore team, supported by clear workflows and processes
n
Clear advice frameworks and service standards
n
Ongoing training, mentoring and career development
n
Competitive remuneration aligned to experience and performance
n
A stable, professional environment focused on sustainable growth for both clients and advisers
n
n
What Success Looks Like in Your First 90 Days
n
In your first three months, you can expect to:
n
n
Become familiar with our advice framework, client segments and service standards
n
Take ownership of a defined group of existing clients
n
Spend regular time on the phone building rapport and understanding client needs
n
Establish effective working rhythms with our offshore support team
n
Begin identifying appropriate opportunities to introduce holistic financial planning conversations
n
Participate in regular check-ins focused on alignment, support and performance
n
n
This Role May Not Be Right For You If:
n
n
You are seeking a purely referral-driven or inbound advice role
n
You prefer a highly transactional or high-pressure sales environment
n
You are uncomfortable spending time on the phone building client relationships
n
You prefer to work without clearly defined processes or expectations
