Head of Engineering Enablement and Automation

Lead the establishment and maturity of engineering automation practices across Technology, enabling faster, safer and more consistent delivery.
n
Own the enterprise quality engineering capability, including testing strategy, standards, governance, service delivery and uplift of practices across projects and platforms.
n
Drive adoption of DevOps, test automation, release, deployment and environment management practices that improve flow, collaboration, traceability and control.
n
Oversee non-production environment readiness, release coordination, observability, monitoring and engineering tooling to support reliable delivery outcomes.
n
Lead and develop a team across quality engineering, test automation, release, deployment, environments, DevOps and observability disciplines.

In this role, you will:

The Right Person
n
You will bring:
n
n
Significant experience leading quality engineering, DevOps, release, deployment, environment management or automation functions in a complex enterprise environment.
n
Solid understanding of test automation, CI/CD practices, engineering tooling, observability, monitoring and reusable automation frameworks.
n
Practical ITIL knowledge, with experience across service transition, release, change and operational support practices.
n
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, vendors, managed service providers and cross-functional technology teams.
n
Strong leadership, planning, risk management and communication skills, with the ability to drive continuous improvement and consistent ways of working.
n
n
Eligibility
n
To be successful in this role, you will need:
n
n
Relevant tertiary qualifications in technology, engineering, IT or business.
n
Around 10 years' experience in technology delivery, quality engineering, automation, release management or related enterprise technology disciplines.
n
The right to work in Australia.
n
Ability to meet any applicable probity, licensing or background checking requirements relevant to The Star Entertainment Group
