About the Role As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide operational and clinical leadership across the operating theatres, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care while supporting and developing your multidisciplinary team.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Providing strong clinical and operational leadership across the perioperative department.
n
Leading, mentoring and supporting nursing staff to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
n
Managing workforce planning, staff rosters and performance reviews.
n
Driving quality improvement initiatives, accreditation compliance and evidence-based practice.
n
Developing and reviewing clinical policies and procedures.
n
Promoting a positive culture of safety, risk management and continuous improvement.
n
Building strong working relationships with surgeons, anaesthetists, clinical stakeholders and industry representatives.
n
Supporting organisational change and contributing to ongoing service development.
n
n
About You To be successful, you will bring:
n
n
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
n
Postgraduate qualifications in Nursing and/or Management (or equivalent tertiary qualification).
n
A minimum of five years' experience in a senior nursing leadership or management role.
n
Previous leadership experience within perioperative services.
n
Strong organisational, leadership and decision-making skills.
n
Experience managing staff performance, workforce planning and rostering.
n
Demonstrated experience in quality improvement, accreditation and clinical governance.
n
Knowledge of contemporary clinical practice and evidence-based care.
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
A proactive leadership style with a genuine passion for developing people and delivering outstanding patient care.
n
