About the role Shieldai develops intelligent systems to safeguard service members and civilians through advanced autonomous aircraft technology. We are seeking a Staff Engineer to join the Hivemind Solutions group to architect and deploy autonomous capabilities for uncrewed platforms.

What you'll do
n
n
Create and execute autonomous behaviors for uncrewed aerial vehicles.
n
Process sensor data to construct reliable fusion solutions.
n
Validate autonomy systems using high-fidelity hardware and software in-the-loop simulation environments.
n
Connect Shieldai autonomy software with third-party aircraft and external systems.
n
Coordinate with robotics, AI, and systems engineering departments to produce unified solutions.
n
Oversee code quality, system architecture, and design reviews.
n
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.
n

Requirements
n
n
Tertiary degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Aerospace, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
n




Substantial professional background in autonomy, perception, robotics, or aerospace.
n
Advanced proficiency in up-to-date C++.
n
Proven track record of building and shipping reliable software within fast-moving environments.
n

Experience working with uncrewed aerial systems.

Expertise in state estimation, real-time systems, path planning, or guidance, navigation, and control.
