$140,000–$160,000 base + super + bonus

Join a major Australian financial-services organisation and help deliver large-scale transformation projects within its Cash and Transactional Banking technology team. You'll work in a fast-paced Agile environment, developing secure and scalable backend services that support critical banking platforms.

What you'll be doing
n
n
Designing, developing and maintaining Java-based backend applications
n
Building secure RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot
n
Contributing to technical design and solving complex engineering problems
n
Supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
n
Collaborating with engineers, business teams and delivery partners
n
Contributing to major banking transformation programs
n
Providing occasional support across the frontend where required
n
n




What we're looking for
n
n
Commercial experience with Java, Spring Boot and RESTful APIs
n
Strong understanding of API design principles and industry standards
n
Experience implementing secure APIs using OAuth and JWT
n
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo and Bitbucket
n
Strong analytical, design and problem-solving capabilities
n
Experience working in an Agile engineering setting
n
Knowledge of J2EE or Struts would be beneficial
n
React experience is advantageous but not essential
n
n
