We are seeking a Fleet Mechanic/Drill Fitter to work on Underground Rigs in South Australia, as well as associated equipment and vehicles. We are looking for candidates who are driven, with a strong commitment to Health & Safety and a robust team focus. The successful candidate will work a 8:6 or 14:7 Fly-in / Fly-out roster, based at one of our client sites in South Australia. Shifts are 12 hours, dayshift only.

Responsibilities
n
n
Maintenance and repairs to Boart Longyear's Underground "LM" & MDR range of Drill Rigs / Newlands Erebus Mobile Rigs, and associated equipment.
n
Maintenance and repairs of Heavy and Light Vehicles.
n
Completion of Preventative Maintenance tasks and records.
n
Maintaining adequate stock levels of spare parts.
n
Time and maintenance record keeping.
n
Work order creation.
n
n
Qualifications and Experience
n
n
Solid experience carrying out Drill and/or Vehicle Maintenance.
n
Knowledge and understanding of electronic control systems.
n
Qualifications in a related field, i.e., Diesel or Mechanical Fitter certification.
n
Experience maintaining and repairing light and heavy vehicles.
n




Basic understanding of electrical circuitry / PLC controls.
n
Fire-suppression qualification (advantageous but not essential).
n
SIBS training (advantageous but not essential).
n
Basic computing skills.
n
Current and valid Driver's License.
n
National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old), or willingness to obtain one.
n
Demonstrated personal commitment to safety.
n

Location: South Australia, at client site.
n
Fly-in / Fly-out roster: 8:6 or 14:7.

Shifts: 12 hours, dayshift only.
