This is a part-time role ideally suited to those wishing to work during school hours or times that suit them. This role is a work from home role with the ability to work in the office if needed. However, you will start off working in the office.

Key responsibilities
n
Preparation of Financial Statements (and supporting workpaper) and tax returns for a variety of clients including individuals, sole traders, partnerships, and trusts
n
Preparation of Business Activity Statements
n
Payroll preparation and STP reporting for clients
n
Attending to ASIC annual returns and other ASIC forms
n
Attending to daily ATO mail
n
Other duties as directed
n
About you
n
A completed degree in accounting or related field
n
5+ years public practice and tax experience in Australia
n
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
n
Sound knowledge of MYOB is essential
n
Experience with MYOB Accountants Office/Accountants Enterprise (MYOB AO/AE)



is essential unless you are confident in switching to other practise management software without too much training
n
Experience with BGL Simple Fund 360 + CAS 360 + Easy Invest preferred but not essential
n
A high level of proficiency in both spoken and written English is preferred
n
Solid technical knowledge of accounting & taxation
n
Ability to communicate clearly, confidently and professionally with clients, colleagues, the ATO and other organisations, as well as prepare accurate correspondence and documentation
n
Experience with using Microsoft Office 365
n
Broad range of clients and work, rather than being pigeon‐holed in one area
n
Flexible working hours around your day, you work the hours needed to complete the work
