An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated team player to join our Parks and Gardens team as a Multipurpose Officer in a Temporary Full time, Fixed Term for 12 Months capacity.

This position is based at the Colac depot.

As Multipurpose Officer Parks & Gardens you will:
n
n
Maintain a standard of the appearance, presentation and amenity of the parks, gardens and streetscapes for our residents and visitors to enjoy.
n
Become a valued member of the Parks and Gardens team, carrying out allocated tasks at the Botanic Gardens and other Parks, Streetscapes and road reserves within the Colac Otway Shire region.
n
Complete tasks with an emphasis on safety, quality and budget requirements to meet corporate values and standards.
n

About You:
n




To support your success in this role you will have:
n
n
Demonstrated experience in operating larger horticultural plant and equipment.
n
Capability of performing physical manual labour tasks.
n
Demonstrated knowledge of horticultural operations.
n
Sound OH&S; knowledge and experience.
n
An OH&S; Construction Induction Card/White Card.
n
A current driver's licence is essential.
n
Heavy truck and/or EWP licence would be desirable.
n
Proven team player.
n
A willingness to undertake training in personal development programs.
n
n
Salary information: $66,****** to $70,****** per annum including industry allowance plus superannuation
n
