ETS (Environmental Treatment Solutions) part of REMONDIS Group are hiring for a Chemist to join our team in Minto NSW.

Key Responsibilities will include:
n
n
Identification, sorting and packaging of hazardous/non-hazardous waste for transfer to other facilities
n
Working closely with the HSEQ team to ensure the best outcomes are achieved.
n
Job costing, management and compliance reporting
n
Ensuring correct storage and labelling of outgoing pallets in accordance with regulations
n
Assisting with lab pack services to various industries, laboratories and school sites
n
Performing administrative functions around the daily operations of an industrial warehouse
n
Liaising with staff day to day to ensure chemicals are handled in a safe and suitable manner
n
Sampling of waste for analysis at external laboratories or through external facilities
n
Research, design, develop and implement more efficient treatment and consolidation practices as well as systems and procedures to ensure the ongoing safe and efficient processing of waste
n
Creating and maintaining systems and documents for reporting purposes
n




Working within a warehouse and office environment on a daily basis
n
n
Who you are
n
n
You have a background and passion in Science, Chemistry or related field
n
You communicate well, and your written and verbal style when interacting with peers and colleagues is as friendly as it is consultative
n
You're able to complete manual handling tasks safely throughout the shift
n
You'll be up to date with safety regulations and standards to ensure we're always operating in a responsible manner
n
Whilst experience in the waste arena is a nice to have, more significant to us is the drive, motivation and resilience required to succeed in a high growth, dynamic environment
n
You're competent in computer literacy including Microsoft Word & Excel and highly organised with accuracy - no detail is too small!
n
Having a Forklift license is a plus or you're willingness to obtain one.
