Branch/Regional Manager - North Queensland

Clark Equipment Sales Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Branch/Regional Manager – North Queensland to lead the daily operation of our Cairns branch and provide regional oversight, mentoring and operational support to our Townsville branch. This is a hands‐on leadership role suited to a commercially focused manager with experience across equipment sales, parts, service, workshop operations and customer support.

Based in Cairns and reporting to the State Manager, the successful candidate will have delegated P&L; responsibility for the North Queensland region, with a clear focus on improving branch performance, strengthening team capability, increasing equipment, parts and service revenue, and lifting profitability across both sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the daily operation of the Cairns branch, including service, parts, administration, workshop, field service and local sales support.
n
Provide operational oversight, mentoring and practical support to the Townsville branch supervisor.
n
Take delegated P&L; responsibility for North Queensland branch performance, including revenue, gross profit, operating costs and branch productivity.
n
Drive revenue growth across equipment sales, parts sales and service labour, while improving margin performance and customer retention.
n
Review branch processes and implement improvements in workshop efficiency, field service scheduling, parts availability, stock control, warranty recovery and customer follow‐up.
n
Set, monitor and report on branch KPIs, including sales activity, service recovery, technician productivity, parts margin, debtor control, customer satisfaction and safety performance.
n
Develop and support branch teams through clear communication, coaching, accountability and regular performance feedback.

Maintain relationships with key customers, service agents, subcontractors and suppliers across the North Queensland region.
n
Work closely with the State Manager to prepare budgets, review monthly branch performance and deliver agreed improvement plans.

Requirements:
n
n
Proven experience managing a branch, region, department or service-based operation with commercial accountability.
n
Experience in equipment, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, material handling, industrial, hire, transport, service or related industries will be highly regarded.
n
Robust understanding of workshop and field service operations, including labour recovery, scheduling, productivity and customer service standards.
n
Commercially focused with the ability to read branch financials, identify performance gaps and implement practical improvements.
n
Confident people leader with the ability to mentor supervisors, support developing staff and build a positive, accountable branch culture.
n
Strong customer relationship skills and the ability to support sales growth across equipment, parts and service.
n
Willingness to travel between Cairns, Townsville and customer locations as required.
