The Opportunity

Position: Registered Nurse – Grade 5
n
Location: Mackay, QLD
n
Unit: Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
n
Contract dates: 24/08/2026 – 04/10/2026
n
Working days: As per roster
n
Working hours: Rotating 8, 10 and 12-hour shifts
n

About You
n
You will be an experienced Registered Nurse with recent Coronary Care Unit experience and a strong background in cardiac nursing.
n
Mandatory Experience
n
n
Previous Coronary Care Unit (CCU) experience
n
n
Cardiac Experience – Highly Desirable Experience with:
n
n
Continuous cardiac monitoring
n
Haemodynamic monitoring
n
ECG interpretation
n
Caring for STEMI and NSTEMI patients
n
Heart failure management
n
Temporary pacing wires
n
Inotropes
n
Central lines
n
Arterial lines
n
Pre and post cardiac catheterisation patients, including femoral sheaths
n
Non-invasive ventilation, including CPAP/BiPAP
n
ieMR
n
n
Previous experience working in Australia, Queensland Health and/or Mackay HHS will be highly regarded.
