This is a full-time opportunity to work across a strong pipeline of major civil, infrastructure, rail, road and construction projects throughout Victoria.
n
As a Senior or Project Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality surveying services from initial data preparation and site establishment through to set-out, conformance and project close-out. Depending on your experience, you may also take responsibility for managing projects, coordinating survey resources, mentoring junior staff and liaising directly with clients and site teams.

We are looking for surveyors who are technically capable, commercially aware and comfortable taking ownership of their work in a rapid-paced construction environment.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Plan, coordinate and deliver surveying works from project commencement through to completion
n
Build excellent client and team relationships
n
n
n
Undertake construction set-out for roads, rail, structures, drainage, earthworks, pavements, services and associated infrastructure
n
Complete topographical, feature, as-built, conformance and monitoring surveys
n
Establish, verify and maintain project survey control networks
n
Prepare and manage survey data using 12D, 12D Field
n
Prepare machine control and machine guidance data where required
n
Operate modern surveying equipment including total stations,



GNSS/GPS systems, drones and laser scanning technology
n
Review designs, models and construction information prior to field works
n
Produce accurate survey reports, plans, conformance documentation and project deliverables
n
Maintain high standards of survey QA, checking and data management
n
Liaise directly with engineers, supervisors, contractors and client representatives
n
Manage project priorities, deadlines and survey resources
n
Identify potential design, set-out or construction issues and communicate these to the relevant project team
n
Mentor and support junior surveyors and survey assistants where applicable
n
Ensure all work complies with 2Spatial's Integrated Management System, project requirements and site safety procedures
n

What we're looking for
n
n
Relevant qualification in Surveying, Spatial Science or a related discipline
n
Team player with excellent communication skills and client focused outcomes
n
Ideally 3+ years' construction surveying experience, with Senior Surveyor applicants generally bringing a higher level of project and team responsibility
n
Strong experience within civil construction, infrastructure, roads, rail and/or structures
n
Demonstrated construction set-out and as-built experience
n
Strong working knowledge of 12D and 12D Field
n
n
n
Strong capability using modern total stations and GNSS equipment
n
n
n
Machine control and machine guidance experience advantageous
n
Understanding of survey control, conformance, QA and construction tolerances
n
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, IFC models and construction documentation
n
Strong data preparation and management skills
n
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to survey accuracy
n
Ability to work autonomously while also contributing effectively within a project team
n
Strong communication and client-management skills
n




Valuable organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
n
Leadership or mentoring experience highly regarded for Senior Surveyor applicants
n
Current Australian driver's licence
n
Commitment to safe work practices and professional standards
n
n
Experience with drone surveying, laser scanning, monitoring, BIM workflows or advanced spatial technologies will also be highly regarded.
