We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven National Sales Director to lead our sales function across Australia.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this senior leadership role is responsible for developing and executing the national sales strategy, driving revenue growth, building strategic customer relationships, and leading high-performing sales teams across multiple locations.
n
This position has responsibility for the performance, leadership, and development of the national sales function, with both direct and indirect reports across Australia. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader who can influence business growth, develop people, and drive a culture of accountability and customer excellence.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Developing and executing the national sales strategy to achieve revenue, margin, and growth targets
n
Leading a national sales structure comprising both direct and indirect reports across multiple regions
n
Managing, mentoring, and developing Sales Managers and broader sales teams
n
Driving sales performance, accountability, and operational excellence
n
Building and maintaining executive-level relationships with strategic customers and partners
n
Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, market growth initiatives, and strategic partnerships
n
Providing sales forecasting, performance reporting, and market insights to the executive leadership team
n
Supporting business planning, strategic initiatives, and commercial decision-making
n




Representing the company at customer, industry, and stakeholder events nationwide
n
Ensuring compliance with company policies, SHERQ requirements and industry standards
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
n
10+ years' experience in senior sales leadership roles within the mechanical engineering, industrial, manufacturing, or related sectors
n
Proven success leading national or multi-site sales teams
n
Demonstrated experience managing both direct and indirect reporting structures
n
Strong commercial acumen and strategic business development capability
n
Exceptional leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
n
Experience managing major accounts and executive-level customer relationships
n
Strong forecasting, reporting, and CRM proficiency
n
Degree-qualified in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
n
Exposure to executive leadership, strategic planning and governance environments highly regarded
n
