Estimator / Quoter for a Home Maintenance Company

We are a well-established property maintenance business servicing real estate agencies throughout South East Queensland. We specialise in general property maintenance, repairs and smaller projects. We are not a full renovation company – our work is predominantly maintenance, repairs and property upkeep.

About the role
n
You will be responsible for assessing maintenance requests and preparing accurate quotes for our clients. This is a role that requires someone who can think practically and understand how things are built, rather than simply putting numbers into a computer.
n
Your day to day will include:
n
Reviewing maintenance requests, photos and scopes of work within our Licence Scope
n
Attending properties to assess works and determining the correct method and materials required
n
Estimating small to large quote requests and preparing accurate and competitive quotes
n
Sourcing and pricing materials and project requirements to ensure quotes are accurate
n
Communicating with Key stakeholders regarding quotes and job requirements
n
Ensuring quotes are completed and returned within required timeframes
n
Following up outstanding quote information where required
n




Identifying additional works or potential issues while onsite
n
Entering and maintaining accurate information within our job management system
n
Working directly with the Manager to drive company growth
n
What we expect from you:
n
Good experience and knowledge of residential property maintenance and repairs
n
Previous experience in carpentry, maintenance, building or a similar trade
n
Strong computer skills and confidence using job management systems (all quotes are sent electronically)
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
Positive understanding of materials, labour requirements and construction methods
n
The ability to source and accurately price materials
n
Strong attention to detail
n
Good organisational and time-management skills
n
The ability to manage priorities
n
A current manual driver's licence
n
