The Joshua Centre Director will lead the organisational oversight and operation of the Joshua Centre to provide students with a learning environment and program that is aligned with the College vision, mission, values and reflects the Flinders philosophy of inclusive learning. The Joshua Centre is a special purpose educational facility that supports students on the Autism spectrum, located on the Tyabb Campus, and provides a differentiated learning program and setting better suited to the sensory needs and routines of autistic students.

Key responsibilities

Lead the organisational oversight and operation of the Joshua Centre
n
Support student growth academically, spiritually, and personally
n
Provide students with a learning environment and program aligned with the College vision, mission, and values
n
Participate actively in the broader life of the College, including co-curricular activities, pastoral care, and staff collaboration
n
Create an inclusive and positive environment for all students
n

A genuine passion for teaching and Christian education
n
An inspiring and visionary leader who is passionate about autistic education
n
Proven experience or understanding of autism, along with evidence informed, practical tools and strategies to support autistic children
n




Exceptional interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students and colleagues

Commitment to lifelong learning and continuous professional development
