We are seeking a highly capable Industrial Relations Specialist to join their Brisbane-based Employee Relations team. Reporting directly to the Group IR & Compliance Manager, this is a high-impact, strategic position where you will lead critical enterprise bargaining and key infrastructure initiatives across their national operations.

The Opportunity: What You'll Do (The ************ Split)
n
This is not just a compliance role; it is a dedicated, high-priority IR position with heavy involvement in complex enterprise agreements and major change-management projects across our client's processing sites, terminals, and ports. The role is broadly split into three key areas:
n

Enterprise Bargaining (30%): You will lead and execute the strategy for upcoming negotiations, managing complex Enterprise Agreements (EAs). This includes playing a lead role in planning and negotiating key agreements for critical logistics and operational assets.

Strategic ER/IR Projects (30%): You will drive complex change initiatives, site consultations, and infrastructure-related projects (such as site transitions, depot integrations, or aviation terminal projects across the East Coast).

Strategy, Compliance & Business Partnering (40%): You will proactively develop and execute the national IR strategy, manage compliance workflows, and act as a subject matter expert. You will work closely with HR Business Partners, legal counsel, and business leaders to translate complex legislation into robust, practical business solutions.

What You'll Bring

To succeed in this role, you must be a technically exceptional IR practitioner who balances legal precision with strong commercial acumen and high emotional intelligence. We are looking for:
n
n
Deep Technical EA Expertise: Proven experience leading complex enterprise agreement negotiations, award interpretations, and representing business interests under the Fair Work Act framework.
n
High EQ & Resilience: A natural relationship builder who can establish credibility, navigate tough negotiations, and work collaboratively to rebuild trust and alignment with diverse, change-resistant stakeholders.
n
Union Engagement Experience: Demonstrated ability to build constructive, professional relationships with major transport, logistics, and heavy industry unions.
n
Heavy Industry/Logistics Exposure: Prior experience navigating industrial relations in complex infrastructure environments—such as aviation, refining, maritime ports, transport, or large-scale retail logistics—will be highly regarded.

Adaptability: The agility to manage multiple high-stakes priorities across multiple regions and business units in a fast-paced corporate environment.
