About the role
n
I-MED Radiology is seeking two Data Engineer's to design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms that enable access to high-quality, reliable data across the organisation.
n
Reporting to the Data and Integrations Manager, this role will be a key member of the IT Services team responsible for implementing best-practice data engineering standards, ensuring data security and governance, and delivering robust technical solutions that support I-MED's clinical, operational and commercial decision-making.
n
You'll work closely with a broad range of stakeholders across business units, including IT Managers, Operations, Commercial, Marketing and external partners, to continuously improve data infrastructure, tooling and processes.

Key responsibilities
n

Design, build and maintain scalable, high-performing data pipelines and platforms
n
Develop automated data ingestion, transformation and loading processes
n
Optimise pipelines for performance, reliability and cost efficiency
n
Implement monitoring, alerting and lifecycle management for data workflows
n
Contribute to data architecture and modelling aligned with business requirements
n
Ensure compliance with I-MED security policies and governance frameworks
n
Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, clinicians and IT peers
n
Diagnose and resolve data pipeline issues and drive continuous improvement
n
Contribute to shared engineering standards, documentation and reusable components
n

About you
n
n
Tertiary qualification in a relevant or related field
n
Experience with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) data stack and related technologies
n
Proficiency in Python and SQL
n
Strong understanding of data ingestion patterns, modelling and platform architectures
n
Experience working with healthcare data, integration standards (HL7, DICOM) and healthcare integration engines
n
Knowledge of software engineering best practices and DevOps principles
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
n
