We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic environmental data professional to join our Environmental Sustainability team.
n
This role supports the Department of Education's work to understand and manage data and information related to the department's environmental impacts and risks.
n
This is a full-time position, but applications for part time or job-share arrangements will also be considered.
n
About the role
n
n
collects, monitors, analyses and reports on environmental data and information related to the department's environmental impacts, including data related to corporate, school and early childhood education operations
n
uses data to inform the development and evaluation of evidence-based policies and actions that reduce the department's environmental impacts and risks
n
clearly presents and communicates data and information to a range of audiences.
n
n
About you
n
n




have a relevant tertiary qualification in a field related to data analytics or environmental science
n
have professional experience in collecting and analysing environmental data and climate risk
n
enjoy collaborating with others and have excellent stakeholder and interpersonal skills
n
demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
n
be proactive and seek to develop creative and evidence-based solutions to complex problems.
