Working alongside experienced underwriters, brokers and industry specialists, you'll develop the technical, commercial and relationship management skills needed to become a successful Property Underwriter.

The Opportunity

Based in our Melbourne CBD office, you'll play a key role supporting our market-leading Property team across a portfolio of Mid-Market and Large Corporate accounts. You'll work directly with experienced underwriters, gain exposure to complex property risks, and develop the technical expertise required for a successful underwriting career.

What You'll Be Doing
n




n
Supporting the underwriting team with renewals, new business and portfolio management.
n
Assisting with premium calculations, technical pricing and reinsurance processing.
n
Preparing policy documentation, endorsements and underwriting files.
n
Managing renewal and quotation pipelines to ensure opportunities are progressed efficiently.
n
Responding to broker enquiries and delivering exceptional service.
n
Building strong relationships with brokers, clients and internal stakeholders.
n
Supporting underwriting operations and contributing to portfolio profitability.
n
Playing an active role in the continued growth of HDI's Property portfolio.
n

What We're Looking For
n
n
Experience in General Insurance, Property Insurance or a related field.
n
Strong attention to detail and exceptional numerical capability.
n
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
A proactive, curious and commercially minded approach.
n
ANZIIF studies (completed or underway) will be highly regarded.
n
Permanent working rights in Australia.
