Job Description
You will work a regular management roster across multiple venues while also providing leadership coverage when other Venue Managers are on annual leave or unavailable. Rather than managing the same venue every night, you will develop a solid understanding of each operation, its team and its customers. You'll need to be comfortable stepping into different environments, taking ownership of the shift and maintaining consistently high operational standards.

Key responsibilities

Leading venue operations during evening and late-night shifts
n
Managing, supporting and inspiring bar, floor and entertainment teams
n
Delivering a welcoming, professional and memorable customer experience
n
Coordinating entertainment schedules and ensuring the night runs to plan
n
Managing opening and closing procedures
n
Overseeing cash handling, tills and end-of-night reconciliation
n
Maintaining liquor licensing, RSA, safety and venue compliance standards
n
Responding confidently to customer, staffing and operational issues
n
Supporting recruitment, induction, training and staff development
n
Monitoring venue presentation, cleanliness, stock and service standards
n
About you
n




Previous management experience in hospitality, bars, nightclubs, entertainment or another high-volume venue
n
Strong people-management and conflict-resolution skills
n
Confidence managing busy late-night services
n
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
n
A sound understanding of RSA, liquor licensing and workplace safety obligations
n
Experience with cash management, closing procedures and shift reporting
n
The flexibility to work nights, weekends and public holidays
n
A current Victorian RSA certificate
n
The ability to travel between Melbourne CBD venues as rostered
n
Work across a portfolio of established Melbourne venues
n
