Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support and enhance the Data Analytics Platform for a leading utilities organisation in Brisbane.

This is an immediate-start contract through to the end of December ****, with the possibility of extension. The role will be central to supporting the
n organisation's Microsoft Fabric environment and its transition from an Azure SQL Enterprise Data Warehouse to Fabric.
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
Support, configure and enhance the Microsoft Fabric platform.
n
Assist with operational activities supporting the transition from the Azure SQL Enterprise Data Warehouse to Microsoft Fabric.
n
Engage with stakeholders to define and assess data and analytics requirements raised through service requests.
n
Provide technical advice, solution design feedback and digital service responses to support effective delivery.
n
Support the ongoing operation, performance and improvement of the organisation's data analytics environment.
n
Contribute to Enterprise Data Warehouse configuration and development activities, depending on operational demand and your technical experience.
n
Work with Visual Studio Code, GitHub and Azure SQL code deployment processes.
n
Support DevOps deployments and changes within Azure Data Factory.
n
Collaborate with Data Engineers, technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable data solutions.

About you
n
You will be an experienced Data Engineer with strong Microsoft Fabric and Azure data platform expertise. You will be comfortable supporting a live platform, managing technical enhancements and contributing to a significant data platform transition.
n
You will ideally bring:
n
n
Demonstrated experience supporting and enhancing Microsoft Fabric environments.
n
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric architecture, configuration and operational support.
n
Experience with Azure SQL and Enterprise Data Warehouse environments.
n
Understanding of data platform transitions or migrations from Azure SQL EDW to Microsoft Fabric.
n
Experience using Visual Studio Code and GitHub.
n
Knowledge of Azure DevOps deployment practices.
n
Experience developing or modifying Azure Data Factory pipelines.
n
Strong SQL development and deployment capability.
n
The ability to translate stakeholder requirements into practical data and analytics solutions.
n
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
n
