About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function for a growing business within the construction industry. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll oversee all financial operations, provide strategic commercial insights, and lead a high-performing finance team.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance qualified who enjoys balancing day-to-day financial management with strategic business partnering in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
n
Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards,



taxation, and statutory obligations.
n
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while strengthening financial controls and governance.
n
Partner with senior leadership to deliver commercial insights and support strategic decision-making.
n
n
About You
n
n
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (CPA or CA highly regarded).
n
7+ years' experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role.
n
Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance.
n
Proven leadership experience with strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence business decisions.
